How to sell - Step-by-step Guide (Detailed)

Step 1: Create an Account and set up Bank Details


Creating an account will allow you to upload new items for sale. Once you've done this, please go into 'Settings' and connect the platform to one (or both) of our secure payment systems - either with your Bank Details (via Stripe). This will allow you to accept payments when you make a sale.  


Step 2: Upload your pre-loved items


Once you have done this, you will be ready to upload your items. 


Take some gorgeous pictures of your pre-loved item. If it's an outfit and you have photos of you wearing the outfit, even better! You can blur or crop your face out if you want. Make sure you get a front, back, side and detail shot - including any photos of any damage/stains if applicable. 


You must upload at least 2 different photos per product listing. 


Create a new item and upload the pictures of your items, provide details including shipping* and measurement information, determine the price and then submit for approval. You can do this for as many pre-loved items as you want, for free! 


A member of Kifaayat team will review each product to make sure it is appropriate for the website and approve within 1 business day. The product description may be tweaked in this process to ensure it is optimised for SEO to attract more buyers. The photos and content uploaded may also be used for social media marketing purposes to attract more buyers. 


Note: If you are unsure on what shipping cost you should add for the item, we recommend you use Australia Post: <https://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/calculate-postage-delivery-times/> You may also choose to select 'pick-up' as an option, however, we don't recommend this as this may limit the amount of buyers you may get as we are an Australia-wide business.


Step 3: Sell your pre-loved items


Once your items are approved, it will be visible for people to see on Kifaayat. If someone is interested in your item, they will be able to message you to get more information or purchase your item directly from the Kifaayat website.


Step 4: Payment & Delivery


The buyer will be able to securely purchase your pre-loved item and pay  Stripe. Once payment is approved, it is the seller’s responsibility to ship out the item. You must provide a tracking number, therefore, we recommend using Australia Post for Australia-wide shipping for consistent pricing and tracking. 


Kifaayat will only release payment to the seller once the piece is shipped out, on route to the buyer (with a tracking number) and the buyer confirms their item is on route and/or received in the platform. Once they have confirmed, the payment (less Kifaayat's commission) will be automatically deposited into the seller's registered Bank Account. 


*Note: Kifaayat will take a 15% commission for each item sold on the Kifaayat website, this will be deducted from the cost of the item once the sale is complete.*


PLEASE NOTE: Any transaction conducted outside of the Kifaayat platform (e.g. via bank details, PayID, direct text messages etc.) will not be supported for any disputes.
