Yes. Payments are processed through Stripe, a globally trusted payment provider: https://stripe.com/
Your payment is held until you confirm that you have received your item. Then the payment is released to the seller only once you have confirmed (or else it is auto-paid to the seller 10 days once the seller has marked it as delivered with a tracking ID).
The seller does not have access to your payment details.
