Returning back to the Lender

Modified on Thu, 4 Jul at 2:33 AM

Depending on the agreement you have with your lender, you can make your return in two ways:

  1. Pick-up in person (we always suggest a public setting)
  2. Shipping via Australia Post

Postage returns: *All items should be posted back within 24 hours of the last day of the agreed rental period. *The responsibility of return falls with the renter. *We recommend sending all items tracked and insured up to the item's original purchase price (you can use Australia Post's Extra Cover for this). If an item is lost or damaged during postage, it is the renters responsibility to compensate the lender for their loss. If an item is insured, the renter can claim this cost back from the postage provider (e.g. Australia Post) *A tracking ID must be sent to the lender upon return and sent via our secure messaging platform.

Late Returns: If a rental is sent back later than the agreed rental dates, lenders have the right to charge renters a late fee. They can do this by adjusting the amount returned from the Security Deposit.

Weekends and Public Holidays: When requesting and approving a rental, make sure you take in Weekend and Public Holiday periods into consideration, as delivery will take longer.
